My name is Jenny! I am so glad you stopped by my little slice of the blog world!
Email me at email@example.com! I'd love to hear from you! You can also find me on Facebook , Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
I am a born and raised Jersey girl! No, that doesn't mean I have big hair (anymore). It means that I live in an area surrounded by farms, quaint shops and cafes, a kickin' antique market, and yes, I do love Bon Jovi. I would not be happy living anywhere else but Jersey! We have the best of the big city (NYC) and the comforts of suburbia!
Jim is my husband and he's awesome. We met, were friends for 1 year, dated for 2, broke up for 3, and then got back together. During our breakup I realized that I can't imagine going through life with anyone else but Jim. So we got engaged, married, bought our first house, and had our first daughter all within 3 years. 3 years later, our second daughter was born. Molly and Ellie are our sweet-n-sour daughters who make us laugh all the time!
I am a stay-at-home mom now. I'm pretty bad at it, too! I am a teacher by trade and I look forward to going back part-time in some capacity. My dream job right now would be to teach a half-day Kindergarten class. I think of lessons constantly, and mentally decorate a classroom every September. Elementary schools feel like home to me. That being said, I'm very grateful to have this time with my girls. I always wished for this and I am so so grateful.
Jim has been at me for years to start a blog. Truthfully, I didn't even know what one was when he started in on me about it! I literally spent almost 5 years listening to him tell me to start a blog, blah blah blah. I took the plunge in 2011 and I'm so glad! It started as a hobby and now it, fellow bloggers, and my readers are a part of my daily life.
I adore dogs and hope I'll always have one as a pet.
I adore dark chocolate in any form.
I adore coffee in the morning only.
I adore reading but I generally read fluffy, trashy stuff.
I adore science and history. I could easily go back to school for European history, specifically the middle ages.
I adore formal spaces. I try to vintage-farmhouse-cottage a bit in our house but in the end I just prefer things to be formal.
I adore my wedding gown. I would pick it today.
