I would have printed some out to test it to make sure the dimensions were correct as it should print out as an 8x10 so 8.5x11 card stock or paper should work. However, our printer doesn't work. sigh. Does it ever seem that NOTHING ever works at your house?  I feel like we could spend every day just fixing stuff constantly. Anyway, if it doesn't work please, let me know and I'll resize it.  I am so far from a graphic designer/techy that I can never be 100% sure I have delivered to you what I promised!

In other news, we didn't get slammed with the epic snowstorm they had predicted. But rather, we have a lovely soft and light snowfall. The roads are plowed and clear but it is very windy so we aren't venturing out today, not even to play. But it is peaceful to watch from out window.

My dear friend stenciled this for me for Christmas. Isn't it lovely?  It is very apropos today, don't you think?

I hope you are warm and toasty!  Enjoy your day!

Double Chocolate Mint Cookies

Share It:
So I came across an old guest post I wrote a few years ago around the holidays and realized I had never shared this chocolate chip cookie recipe on  my own blog.  So here it goes!  Double Chocolate Mint Cookie Recipe (perfect Christmas cookie, by the way!) So without further adieu....

I bet you've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen getting ready for the holidays. I know I have!  And every  year without fail I bake my ultimate favorite Christmas cookie (next to Mallomars which I would never make at home. You can't make Mc Donalds at home and you can't make a Mallomar either but I digress) which are Double Chocolate Mint Cookies. I adore chocolate and I adore mint and I adore cookies. Winning all around!

Jim's birthday was last week!  He's always felt like his birthday is a Christmas after-thought and even after 43 years he can still be a little bitter, um..I mean, sensitive about it!  I get it though. My birthday is in August and so I never had to compete with any holidays for attention but I can only imagine how it must feel to have your special day so close to the biggest special day of the year. Wah-wahhhh.

Honey Butter Pork Tenderloin

Share It:
You know when you go food shopping when you're hungry and you end up buying 6 bags of chips and a package of Oreos?  Well, I did that the other day but ended up with 4 pork tenderloins. What was I thinking?  We don't even like it much. Now I had 4 sitting in my freezer wondering what would become of them.

So I scoured the internet and found Momma Hen's Kitchen. She has a recipe for Honey Butter Pork Tenderloin that sounded simple and delicious. So I gave it a go and I'm happy to say we all really enjoyed it!  Ok, Jim and I did. Ellie declared "meat is yuck" and Molly softly whispered "gross" which is what she says when any meat is placed in front of her. Jim said it was his favorite version of pork tenderloin ever.

Easy DIY Cocktail Napkins

Share It:

Every once in a while my parents would host a cocktail party and my mom would pull out small squares of cloth she called "cocktail napkins." I thought that was the epitome of fancy!  Who had special napkins for special reasons?  I decided that I should have cocktail napkins too but mine would be easy DIY cocktail napkins!

This holiday season was the perfect time for me to whip them up since we would be doing a lot of entertaining. It took me a total of two hours to sew up 10 sweet napkins and if you can sew a straight line you can make fancy DIY cocktail napkins,  too.
