Blog Feature Friday: Our Pinteresting Family

Share It:
Friday is here!  And not only does it mean the weekend is upon us, it also means that Blog Feature Friday has a new star!  Our Pinteresting Family is our highlight this week!  With three children (two of whom are babies) I have no idea when they have the time to build daybeds and rip out cabinets. But that is exactly what they are doing and I'm so glad!  Here are some of my favorite projects to share with you! And as always, please pin from Our Pinteresting Family and not this blog.

Here are some other stars!

Have a great weekend!
Cheers!

St. Patrick's Day Wreath

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw my sneak preview of my St. Patrick's Day wreath I made recently.   I am so excited to share it with you because I am happy with how it turned out!

Days of Chalk and Chocolate St. Patrick's Day Wreath

The best part?  The only thing I purchased for it were the sparkly beads and they were on sale. Everything else I had!

If you don't know how to make fabric shamrocks come back later this week when I post the tutorial. It is very easy once you get the hang of it.

I also created a St. Patrick's Day printable poster and cupcake toppers too which you can find HERE.

Days of Chalk and Chocolate St. Patrick's Day Wreath

I was inspired this year to add some real shamrocks to our house. Technically, these are not true shamrocks, I'm told, but Oxalis. They were selling them as shamrocks so that's good enough for me!

Taken with my phone so it's not great.

I am subbing in first grade tomorrow.  That's cool. This is the time of year when jobs start getting posted and I have to decide what I am doing for the next school year. I know I want to be back in a classroom but I really don't know about full-time right now. On the other hand, part-time in public school is about as common as a craft/home blogger that hasn't used chevron or burlap...it just doesn't happen. : )

Cheers!

St. Patrick's Day Free Printables

I made some cute and simple decorations to add some  St. Patrick's Day free printables fun to parties and classrooms!
For more St. Patrick's Day decor, you can see my St. Patrick's Day wreath HERE.

The shamrock cupcake toppers are quick to make, too. Simply print by clicking the link to access the printable as a PDF, cut out each circle and tape it to a toothpick or lollipop stick. Really easy which is how I like it.

Blog Feature Friday: Remodelando la Casa!

I'm so excited to share this week's blog feature!  I have been a huge fan of Remodelando la Casa for a long time now and I know you'll love Cristina's style too! Her blog is filled with DIY tutorials, crafts, holiday decorating, and tablescapes. Her kitchen is one of my favorites on the web, too. Gorgeous!

Please pin images from Remodelando la Casa!

Chalkboard Backdrop

Share It:
We all love chalkboards, don't we? Chalkboards are everywhere now! Chalkboard labels, chalkboard clocks, chalkboard refrigerators, chalkboard tables, chalkboard chalkboards. Heck, some people even put chalk in the name of their blogs! For real.  And yes, we see tons of pictures set against giant chalkboards. Or what appear to be giant chalkboards. But looks can be deceiving my friends. I'm going to tell you how you can make a chalkboard backdrop for photos for less than $1.00. In fact, you can have two for $1.00. More in fact, you can have 4 for $1.00.

Time for dessert!  How does chocolate cake with strawberry cheesecake filling sound?  Yeah, sounded good to me too.

Blog Feature Friday: Pet Scribbles!

Share It:
The featured blog this week is....Pet Scribbles!  Laura is the sweet and sunny face behind the blog. I was lucky to meet her at a blog get-together at Cutting Edge Stencils last March. I found her to be friendly, genuine, and kind.   She is also a generous friend who always has a blogger's back. In other words, she and her blog rock. Pet Scribbles is where she showcases her home, garden, and craft projects.   She is a wealth of gardening information and is my go-to place to plan our plantings. (Please pin these projects from the Pet Scribbles link. Thanks!)

Valentine's Day Games Free Printables!

Share It:
Oooooh, yayyyy. Another snow day. Great.  I am weeping at the thought of yet another snow day. We have baked cookies. We have made snowmen. We have watched movies. We have done every craft ever posted by any mother/teacher on Pinterest.  We have made cloud dough, cookie dough, moon dough, play dough, and lots of stuff that have cornstarch as its main ingredient. We are done with snow days. Hear that Mother Nature, you crazy hag?!! My kids NEED school! I NEED school!
But since there is no school tomorrow, I rounded up some cute, free printable Valentine's Day games to play with Molly and Ellie.

I showed you a few projects I created using some of my fabric stash such as my hanging fabric hearts, and scrap heart garland. Today, I'm excited to show you another way to use those little puffy hearts!

Blog Feature Friday: Curb Alert!

Share It:
This week's blog feature is Curb Alert!  You know what a curb alert is, right?  Like on Craigslist when someone is offering something for free?  It is called a curb alert which basically means come and get it before the garbage guys do. We crafty girls loooove a curb alert because it means you can get something fabulous with a little work for free. And that's exactly what Tami at Curb Alert! shows off on her blog!  All sorts of fabulousness!
