Peony Spring Wreath (Spring Decor)

Share It:
I find March to be an extremely long and hard month to live through. The weather stinks. It feels as if spring will never come and I start trying to usher it in a little by lightening up some decor around the house.  This year I made a new spring wreath decorated with fabric peonies, burlap, and a little nest of eggs waiting to hatch (not really because they are plastic but well, go with it). It has helped me wade through this windy, rainy, gray month!

I gleaned inspiration from one of my favorite blogs, Jones Design Company.  Emily made a gorgeous spring wreath with ruffles that I've always admired. I loved the little nest tucked in among the greens and I adored the rustic fabric with the softer elements.  When I saw a little nest of eggs at the dollar store and I pulled out my buck and  scooped it up!

My next bit of inspiration came from these tutorials on making fabric peonies using the polyester/burned edges method.  I sort of gleaned a little of this and a little of that from each one.

The soft pink color and the pussy willows are exactly what I need to shake my melancholy!

Cheers!
Jenny
