My head is spinning lately with living room room and dining room ideas. In our first house, we painted the walls taupe and I accented it with shades of blue, chocolate, and black.  I want to change scopes a bit in this house and I am leaning toward a blue, gold, white color scheme with accents of chocolate. I guess it's basically the same colors but just shifted in their amounts. I toy with using nickel or shiny silver as the metallic element but I always go back to gold/tarnished brass. I think I just love how it looks with gray blue!  Here are some examples that inspire me:
