You know how you aren't supposed to go food shopping hungry because you'll buy all sorts of stuff you don't need? Yeah well, it is true as evidenced by the insanely large jar of marinated artichoke hearts on my shelf.

We haven't had a Throwback Thursday post in forever and the nice weather reminded me of this post I wrote with ideas on how to keep a toddler busy! Enjoy!
We've had a great summer and I have been able to keep Ellie busy despite the fact that she's a toddler who can not be pleased by anything other than Team Umizoomi.We have managed to fill our days with cute, easy activities to keep a toddler busy and happy for, like, 10 seconds. But those 10 seconds are magical.

First Communion Party
My sweet Molly made her First Holy Communion recently. It was a beautiful event and we had a small party after with close family and friends. The whole day was perfect and I thought I'd share a few pictures of the party decor. I didn't go nuts with a big dessert table. I'm kind of over all that. But we managed to add some girly touches to make it feel special.
Spring Mantel (better late than never)
I've had these pictures of my shades of blue spring mantel on my camera forever! I've finally gotten around to editing and posting them so consider it a mini throwback Thursday! Ha! Anyway, I gathered up some dried hydgrangeas from my sister's garden last summer, a few blue mason jars, and spray painted some things a lovely robin's egg blue to create a sweet spring mantel that will take us through to summer!
Deck Mini Makeover Shopping List
Molly is making her first communion in May and I thought would be the perfect time to refresh our deck a bit! It is just one big flat boring deck but with a few touches I think it will clean up nicely!
Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cookies (Cake Mix Cookies)
Let's talk cookies! You know I love a good dessert (who doesn't?) and one that is super quick, super easy, and super yummy is just about perfect. Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies are all of those things! We all loved them and I loved that by using a cake mix we can have all different flavors of a soft, tender cookie without all the work. These were absolutely luscious!
Touches of Spring Decor
Spring is being coy and playing hard to get. You know how it is....the less attention you get the more you want and spring is onto that. But what spring didn't count on is that we can find spring in other ways, not just in 65 degree days with sunny skies! To beat the winter blues I ushered in the spring blues in the form of eggs, flowers, and ribbons!
